Restless Water
Nautelankoski, Finland, 2023
A quiet winter day had settled over Nautelankoski. Mist softened the forest and muted the landscape, while the short daylight left the river surrounded by a subdued, almost monochromatic stillness.
Yet beneath the silence, the water continued to move. Its steady flow curled around the rocks, creating soft, blurred shapes against the frozen edges of the river. The contrast between the motionless winter landscape and the restless water became the heart of the image.
Restless Water explores the quiet tension between stillness and movement — a moment where everything seems to pause, except the river.
